The Malaysian Body
Hello, my name is Bradley. Here’s my story:
A fat guy who lost a lot of weight doing a lot of running. Said guy then went to the gym, and put on some muscle… Yadah yadah yadah. Renditions of this have been told countless times, and is seen everyday on social media.
But behind the scenes: I CRAVED food.
Fitness gives this idea that a healthy body requires divorcing your tastebuds from the flavors of white rice, burgers, fried chicken, ice-cream… Nasi Lemak.
I couldn’t do it.
Weekends after a hard week of diet was typically spent devouring the list above, and then some. The following week then begun with endless hours on the treadmill. That lifestyle was unsustainable, and thank goodness, it didn’t sustain.
Through trial and error, god-sent mentors, reading and filtering through the unbased dogma about training and nutrition, I’ve found a happy medium:
The yummy food that makes “Malaysia: Truly Asia”, and having a Healthy Body can go hand in hand.
